European Championship 2008 - Czech Republic
The Czech Republic have a very good history in World football as they were part of Czechoslovakia and came second in the 1934 and 1962 World Cup and in recent times have done well since becoming the Czech Republic having come second in the 2004 Euro Championships.
The Czech Republic have come through a very tough group and along with Germany to make it to the 2008 Euro finals and beat the 2006 World Cup form team by 3 clear goals in one of their final matches of the Group.
They are led by top manager and coach in Karel Bruckner who has a policy of bringing on his younger team members and this policy may pay good dividends in the Euro 2008 finals as he now has a very good and relatively experience team to call upon.
The Czech Republic are an 18/1 to win the 2008 Euro championships and they could be a decent bet to do so.
Player To Watch - Petr Cech
Petr Cech is the Czech republic goalkeeper and is a vital cog in the Czech team and if he can give his team confidence then they have a very solid foundation from which to build upon.
Petr Cech is very well known to English fans as he plays his domestic football with Chelsea and plays a very important role in their successes in recent years.
