European Championship 2008 - Netherlands
The Netherlands were one of the big achievers in World football considering their population size and they continue to produce really top players and as a result won the Euro 1988 Championships and finished runner up in the 1974 and 1978 World Cups losing on both occasions to the host countries.
With the likes of Ruud Van Nistelerooy who now plays his football for Real Madrid, Dirk Kuyt who is with Liverpool, Robin Van Persie playing for Arsenal and Arjun Roben for Real Madrid, they possess enough goal scoring power to treathen any defence and are an interesting betting option of Euro 2008.
Netherlands came out of Group G finishing behind Romania with 26 points, one point ahead of Bulgaria.
The Netherlands coach is Marco van Basten who was a top forward for his country and has a policy of bringing on his young players and he certainly has some great talent to work with and at odds of 9/1 with most online bookmakers have a real chance in the Euro 2008 finals.
Player To Watch - Robin Van Persie
Van Persie, is now spearheading the Arsenal attack and he has big boots to fill in Henry at Arsenal and Van Nistelrooy from his home country but he has all the talent with a great left foot and a top brain for the game and he now is of an age where he can let his full talent shine through.
