European Championship 2008 - Sweden

Sweden for such a small nation have done very well in both World and Euro Cups having finished second once in the World Cup and third twice. In the Euro Championships they reached the semi finals in 1992.

Sweden qualified behind Spain with 26 points and have to face them again in Group D along with Russia and Greece.

Group D looks quite competitive but still Sweden are the rank outsiders at odds of 9/2 to win this group and 22/1 with Stan James to win Euro 2008.

Coach Lars Largerback has guided his team to his second finals and Euro 2008 will be their 5th consecutive International final appearance.

Sweden and Internazionale striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is widely regarded as one of the worlds top strikers. Since making his full international debut in 2001 Ibrahimovic has netted 18 goals in 49 appearances up to and including the end of Euro 2008 qualifying.

Should Sweden have a strong Euro 2008 campaign, they'll rely on goals from their star striker who could be a good bet for Top Goalscorer.
