European Championship 2008 - Switzerland
Switzerland are a co host in the 2008 Euro competition and they will be hoping they are inspired as they have never win a major trophy.
In the 2006 FIFA World Cup Switzerland were knocked out without conceding a goal. they also hold a record for not scoring a single goal in their penalty shoot out in that event.
Switzerland have been drawn in the same group as Portugal, Czech Republic and Turkey and while it is not the hardest of groups they are third favourites to emerge as winners of their group at 3/1.
Jakob Kuhn is the coach and the only thing we can say about him is that this is his last tournament as he has promised his wife that he will call it a day after Euro 2008.
Switzerland are as short as 16/1 to win Euro 2008 and this must be down to home advantage.
Player To Watch - Philip Senderos
We think this says it all about Switzerland's chances as the only player we can put up is the Arsenal defender Philip Senderos, who we can rely on to make at least one mistake in every game and he will need to be at his best if the joint hosts are not the make an early exit.
