European Championship 2008 - Turkey

Turkey achieved a degree of success in the 1990s but this improvement has levelled off in recent times and the team's highest achievement was reaching 3rd place at the 2002 FIFA World Cup and they got to the quarter-finals at Euro 2000.

Turkey got of to a great start in the Euro 2008 qualifiers but their form tailed off and they just managed to finish second in Group C behind European champions Greece.

Turkey won their final group game 1-0 against Bosnia-Herzegovina which ment that they finished a point above Norway in second place.

The Turkish coach is Faith Terim better known as the Emperor as he is believed to be a very good leader and he will need to get the best out of his team for Turkey to feature.
